Finkelstein Gallery artist Kim Lieberman, along with Paragon Architects, has been named as one of the six finalists for the South African Social Impact Art Prize.
The Social Impact Art Prize is a "new art prize witha. focus on social impact that has a direct, measurable effect on individuals and communities", covering aspects of education, employment, community, environments, technology and/or direct arts.
Kim describes the process as a look into "the conceptual underpinning of hand-made lace and architecture" exploring the intersection of these desciplines and how they reveal aspects of a city through social responsibility and human interaction.
The winning entry or entries will be awarded the opportunity to bring their work to life through an on-going arts residency in Graaff-Reinet, South Africa, in 2020.
