Ester Parasková (* 1993) lives and works in Prague, Czech Republic. She is currently completing a Class on Intermedial Confrontation at the University of Applied Arts in Prague, where she continues her master's studies in Painting.
At first glimpse, Parasková's work impresses with its unconventional, ever-evolving and dynamic style of expressive painting. The reflection on the past five years of her work includes the whole scale of different ways such as drawing techniques, bending towards oil painting, mass and weight, lightness or deliberate carelessness in the precision. Her work is literally transformed step by step and we can see how important the early drawing experience is for her further development where she often transforms it into large-scale canvases. Getting off from old cliche and continuing with the constant outcome is then strongly reflected in the most recent series of works at the solo exhibition WEST SCUM (Strom Art Gallery / Czech Republic / 2023), where Parasková confidently unifies her procedures as she would illuminate the core of several years of her experience. This strong language
gives her confidence to interpret her style into different positions of artistic sensibility and the creation accompanied by touches of values like low and high, dirt and elegance or fragility and roughness.
